The MTV Movie Awards are the cool (I’m not taking myself serious) movie awards, where the films and characters you love, are at last, celebrated and victorious!
The MTV Movie Awards started way back in 1992, and in my opinion, have been a great stage for the most spontaneous memorable moments. Remember Will Ferrell's and Sacha Baron Cohen’s awkward moment and who-else would bring back Wayne & Garth and arrange a Breakfast Club reunion!
So in addition to awards like Best Villain and Best Kiss you get the funniest comedians at their best, lampooning your favourite films and actors. It’s no coincidence that the majority of the comedians who regularly appear year after year are part of the SNL alumni.
Which brings me nicely to this year's host.
Hosting duties this year will be taken care of by Mr Andy Samberg (“..say hello to your mother for me.”) Anyone who watches SNL or has a copy of Incredibad, knows he will rock the hizouse. In addition, knowing that he will open the show with Justin Timberlake has me salivating...Dick in a Box anyone.
This year, the all important MTV Generation award will be going to Ben Stiller. Past recipients have been Tom Cruise, Mike Myers, Adam Sandler and Jim Carey.
Ben Stiller has always made worthy contributions to the MTV Movie Awards over the years. He even came back from his honeymoon, 2 days early, to complete the Tom Crooze sketch and who can forget the hilarious skit with Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr.
So, way before Tom Cruise and Ben Stiller appeared in Tropic Thunder I give you Tom Crooze!
